• This course uses student-created audio projects to meaningfully engage students in writing, reading, researching, collaborating, speaking, and audio editing. Students will create a variety of original podcasts for real purposes and real audiences. Students will use a variety of audio editing and Internet technologies and learn to apply the legal and ethical principals associated with research, Webcasting, journalism, and copyright. All audio projects will have correlating written assignments; these will be scripts, reflection papers, and research reports. There will also be a structured and supportive peer editing component and several collaborative projects.
  • In the Digital Sports Photography I course, students will be exposed to many facets of the styles and practicality of Action Photography. The image of action photography has been one of the world’s strongest tools for sports news media. Components of the class will include starting out with a digital camera, basics of action photography, shooting exercises and image editing.
